“I Bought My Dream Vintage Mustang After 5 Years of Saving. Then Metropolis Became a Battle Zone…”

Part 3: The “Heroic” Misunderstanding Before Arthur could even put his key into the ignition, a loud sonic boom cracked through the air. Superman descended from the clouds in his iconic blue suit and red cape, landing with a heavy thud right in front of Arthur’s parked Mustang.

The alien monster roared, charging down the street at 60 miles per hour. Superman looked around frantically for something massive to throw to slow the monster down.

There was a heavy concrete barrier to his left. There was an abandoned delivery truck to his right. But Superman’s eyes locked straight onto Arthur’s midnight-black 1969 Mustang.

Arthur slammed his car door open, stumbled onto the street, and waved his hands in sheer terror. “No! Wait! Stop! Don’t touch it! I just signed the papers 15 minutes ago! I don’t even have full-coverage insurance yet!”

Superman looked back at Arthur, mistaking his panicked screaming and frantic hand gestures for a brave citizen making a noble sacrifice for the city.

Superman gave a heroic, inspiring nod. “Your sacrifice will not be forgotten, citizen!” he yelled over the sound of crumbling concrete.

“NO, THAT’s NOT WHAT I—”

Before Arthur could finish his sentence, Superman slammed his bare hands under the chassis of the Mustang, ripping the entire $45,000 vehicle off the asphalt with effortless strength.
