Part 2: The First Drive in Metropolis Arthur drove his shiny, restored classic out onto Main Street. The engine roared like thunder, and every passerby turned their head to admire the gleaming chrome bumpers and flawless paint job.
He parked near the city square, stepped out, and took a selfie beside the hood. He was planning to take it to a car show over the weekend. He even pulled out a micro-fiber cloth from his pocket just to wipe off a single speck of dust that had landed on the side mirror.
Then, the sky turned dark grey.
A deafening siren echoed across the skyscrapers. The pavement beneath his feet trembled violently as a giant alien villain in massive spiked armor slammed into the middle of the intersection two blocks away, flipping city buses like toy blocks.
People panicked, shouting and scattering in every direction. Arthur’s first instinct wasn’t to run—it was to jump back into his Mustang, start the engine, and speed away before a piece of debris scratched his dream car.
