Dolly Had Already Planned Decades of Surprises
Her Instagram page will not become quiet after this first message. On August 26, Dolly’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, revealed that she left her handpicked team a detailed roadmap for projects extending years into the future.
“Dolly worked up until the day she died,” Danny said. “She loved seeing her dreams come to life, and loved knowing her work brought people joy.”
He assured fans that forthcoming official releases had received Dolly’s personal stamp. Her team intends to complete the music and other projects she was developing, allowing that famously unstoppable imagination to keep producing joy.
Several of those plans will arrive almost immediately. Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stops will celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation Week beginning September 13, 2026, and stays at Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel begin the following day.
Dolly Dolls are scheduled to arrive on September 15. Later, on September 29, the SongTeller Hotel will hold its grand opening alongside the debut of Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum and the online launch of Dolly’s Cup of Ambition Coffee.
The coffee is expected in stores in spring 2027. Before then, “Dolly on the Holly” is planned for the 2026 holiday season.
Her story will also reach Broadway. “DOLLY: A True Original Musical” begins previews on December 7, 2026, and officially opens on what would have been her 81st birthday, January 19, 2027. Tickets are currently on sale through November 21, 2027.
A Kendra Scott x Dolly “9 to 5” collection is set for January 2027. Dolly’s Dog Treats are expected early next year, while her bedding and home décor collection is scheduled for the third quarter.
Dolly also left plans for an avatar show and several screen projects. Among them are a musical documentary, a biopic, a docuseries, a scripted production, and an animated “Billy the Kid” project, with still more unreleased ideas waiting for their moment.
