Forty Years After They Met, One Goodbye Changed Everything
Linda and “Dallas” star Patrick Duffy first met in 1980. Their paths crossed again over the years, but there was no grand romantic beginning and certainly no suggestion that they were slowly moving toward a life together.

They were acquaintances inside the close-knit entertainment business. More than 20 years before their romance began, Linda saw Patrick appearing with their mutual friend Richard Thomas in “Art” on London’s West End and briefly said hello.
Another encounter came years later at a Los Angeles event. Linda mentioned that she would soon be seeing Richard, prompting Patrick to give her his email address and ask her to reconnect the two men.
